Background
Margie McGregor was a policewoman
sergeant and left the service in 1968 to start a family. She worked voluntarily
for The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme over a period of twenty-four
years after gaining the Gold Award. She ran a business in antique prints
and watercolours, but again became interested in people. She founded a
chartiy called The Friendship Trust, which she ran for eleven years. It
was aimed at young people who were seen to be 'impossible'. She closed
the charity in 1994 in order to explore ways for problems to be prevented.
Since then she has been extensively involved in supporting adults and
whole families.
She has now introduced "'Creative
Inspirations"" with its simple focus, allowing huge self-help.
